Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Senior Scientist Technical Support to drive oligonucleotide manufacturing processes within molecular diagnostics. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Supply Chain to support development, validation, and lifecycle management of processes.

Qualifications

• PhD/MS/BS with industry experience in regulated environments.
• Experience in process development, analytical development, or manufacturing sciences.
• Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and solve problems.
• Experience authoring technical reports and change controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical support for oligonucleotide manufacturing and QC processes.
• Develop, validate manufacturing and analytical methods for molecular diagnostics.
• Design and run experiments, analyze results, and drive process improvements.
• Lead cross-functional projects on process changes, supply continuity, and lifecycle management.
• Document reports, protocols, and regulatory support materials.
• Mentor junior scientists and collaborate with GMP-compliant teams.
