Colwyn Group seeks a Senior Scientist to lead R&D in non-linear optics, electro-optic modulation, and waveguide photonics in Bozeman, MT. The role drives laboratory breakthroughs into high-performance components, from design through experimental validation, with a focus on waveguide fabrication and device packaging.

You will build advanced experimental techniques, run optical and RF tests, and collaborate across disciplines to advance photonic technologies for real-world applications.

Qualificações

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on R&D in optics, photonics, or laser physics.
• Background in non-linear optical processes or electro-optic modulators.

Responsabilidades

• Lead R&D programs in non-linear optics, electro-optic modulation, and integrated photonics.
• Design, model, and evaluate waveguide architectures and EO devices.
• Tackle multi-disciplinary challenges in waveguide microfabrication and materials integration.
• Develop methods for optical packaging, fiber-to-chip coupling, and device stabilization.
• Build and refine optical and RF test benches for characterization.
• Document findings, author reports, and contribute to IP generation.
