Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Scientist in Discovery Neuroscience to develop and apply mass spectrometry–based assays for biomarker discovery and translational validation in neurodegenerative disease contexts. You will drive unbiased omics analyses (metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics) and advance targeted LC-MS/MS assays across preclinical models and human biospecimens.

The role requires a PhD with extensive postdoctoral or industry experience, hands-on LC-MS (DDA/DIA), and strong bioinformatics

Qualifications

PhD required with postdoc or industry experience.
Analytical Chemistry or equivalent degree; neuroscience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with translational medicine and biology teams to plan MS studies for biomarker discovery.
Develop assays for pharmacodynamic biomarkers from preclinical models with clinical translation.
Lead data-driven decisions through MS-based analyses and QC.
Transfer assays to internal groups and CROs and collaborate with external researchers.
