Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Molecular Diagnostics Scientist to design, set up and execute complex experiments with data collection and analysis in a fast-paced lab in Sunnyvale, CA.

The role focuses on developing real-time PCR and RT-PCR assays for infectious diseases, conducting rigorous analytical studies, and guiding junior colleagues. A PhD in Biological Sciences with 2+ years of experience and BSL-2 experience are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biological Science field with 2+ years of industry or academic experience.
• Spearhead feasibility, optimization, verification and validation of molecular diagnostic assays targeting human pathogens.
• Experience with PCR/qPCR, Sanger sequencing, and interpreting large-scale experimental data.
• Experience handling clinical specimens in a BSL-2 environment.
