Nova Biomedical is seeking a Scientist II in a hybrid role based in Waltham, MA. The position focuses on developing and validating immunoassays and related analyses for biotechnology analyzers, with responsibilities spanning planning, execution, and documentation of experiments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, and laboratory statistical programs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced product development environment.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem‑solving, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.
• MS or BS degree with stated industry experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, analyze, and document laboratory experiments related to the development, optimization, and validation of new immunoassays and other assays.
• Implement assays on biotechnology analyzers and conduct verification and validation studies of assay and instrumentation performance.
• Troubleshoot experimental methods and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and procedures.
• Recommend technical approaches that support project goals.
• Participate in project teams and contribute to milestone delivery.
• Support knowledge transfer and technical skill development within the team.
• Support partner teams including Production, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, and Marketing.
• Contribute to technical reports and presentations.
