Job summary

Allergan is seeking a Senior Scientist I to join its Cell Line Development Innovation Group in South San Francisco. This hands-on role requires expertise in molecular biology to drive expression-optimization projects for biologic therapies.

The successful candidate will design vector constructs, engineer CHO cells, and improve recombinant antibody expression. A PhD or equivalent experience is required, along with a strong command in mammalian protein expression and familiarity with CRISPR techniques.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with BS, 8+ with MS, or a PhD with no minimum experience.
• Ability to review literature and synthesize technical experimental designs.
• Proficiency in designing vectors and understanding mammalian protein expression.

Responsibilities

• Design and test vector constructs to increase mAb titer.
• Conduct transfection and clone-generation campaigns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.
