Job summary

Trinity Consultants in the Northwest seeks a Senior Scientist to provide expert biological resource assessment, field studies, and data analysis. You will mentor staff, develop technical documents, and communicate findings to clients and regulators.

The role may be based in Gig Harbor or Mount Vernon with opportunities for remote/hybrid work. Applicants should have extensive experience in biological surveys, strong writing skills, and knowledge of ESA/NEPA/CWA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological field-oriented program required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in biological resource surveys, inventories, and analyses preferred.
• Field experience in the Pacific Northwest desirable.
• Strong writing and communication to present complex information to regulators and clients.
• Knowledge of ESA, NEPA, and CWA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings for technical reports.
• Lead, manage, and mentor field crews in survey protocols and data collection.
• Conduct advanced statistical analyses and document results clearly.
• Develop and support preparation of biological permitting and compliance documents.
• Stay current with scientific literature and regulatory developments.
• Foster relationships with regulatory agencies, clients, and stakeholders.
