Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Senior Scientist for the Drug Product Technologies group. The role focuses on late-stage formulation and fill/finish development for biologics, leveraging AI and in silico modeling to accelerate discovery and commercialization.

The candidate will work with engineers and scientists to design studies, analyze data, and support lifecycle management while travelling up to 10% for cross-site collaboration and regulatory activities.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/MD and relevant post-doc where applicable.
• Master’s degree with 3 years of scientific experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, and document laboratory studies for formulation and fill/finish process development, supporting commercialization.
• Perform data analysis using advanced statistical techniques and in silico modeling to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with Drug Product Commercialization Teams across pipeline and lifecycle programs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to advance complex projects to completion and influence decisions.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
• Develop validation plans, SOPs, and regulatory documentation as needed.
