Job summary

Flagship Pioneering seeks a (Senior) Scientist, Computational Neuroscience to build scalable pipelines for biophysical neuron modeling and apply ML to large neural datasets. The role is based in Cambridge, MA with a preference for on-site engagement and welcomes international candidates.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MSc in a related field, 2+ years of industry/postdoc experience, strong neural modeling skills, and proficiency in Python with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in Computational Neuroscience, Physics, Applied Math, CS, AI/ML or related field.
• 2+ years of full-time industry or postdoctoral experience (5+ years for MSc).
• Strong experience with computational modeling of neural systems.
• Hands‑on ML or time-series analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end computational pipelines for biophysical neural modeling.
• Apply ML and statistical inference to neural datasets.
• Collaborate to shape the technical roadmap and prototype methods.
