Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the Computational Biology, Life Science Strategy team. You will drive data-driven insights by integrating molecular and clinical datasets for drug discovery and development, and you will build next-generation research tools to improve scientific impact and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in computational biology, strong leadership, and a track record of success in AI-enabled research, with broad collaboration across pharma partners

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with peer-reviewed publications.
• Proficiency in R and/or Python and related libraries.
• Experience with ML, LLM-based coding assistants and agentic frameworks.
• Strong software engineering practices and code QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead analyses integrating genomic, transcriptomic, imaging and clinical data.
• Translate concepts into analysis plans and deliver high-impact insights.
• Incorporate AI tools and LLMs into workflows to accelerate research.
• Develop reusable code, internal packages, and best practices.
