Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Scientist III in HPCS to lead end-to-end chromatography product development from concept to commercialization. You will design experiments, develop new stationary phases, and create customer collateral, while collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams to meet milestones.

You will mentor colleagues, apply scientific theory to experiments, and contribute to continuous improvements in a dynamic environment. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Design and execute experiments and analyze data to gain technical understanding.
• Short- and long-term work planning to complete projects and meet deliverables.
• Use scientific theory and literature to design experiments for product design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new liquid chromatography products from concept through commercialization.
• Produce prototype stationary phases and evaluate their suitability for different chromatographic modes.
• Create customer facing collateral to demonstrate technology innovations with applications including MS.
• Collaborate with R&D colleagues and SMEs to design and develop products.
• Coordinate across functions to meet project deliverables and keep stakeholders informed.
• Proactively identify and implement process and product improvements.
• Support customers through product and method troubleshooting with QA and Technical Support.
• Stay up to date on industry technologies and competitor products.
