Job Description

EAG Laboratories is seeking a Senior Scientist to assist in chemical testing of industrial and consumer products at our Maryland Heights, Missouri laboratory. The role involves organic chemistry testing, evaluating label claims, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals and supplements, contaminant identification, and testing medical devices, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Applying standard and non-standard analytical techniques to determine material composition and properties.
• Performing sample preparation and recording test data.
• Analyzing data, preparing reports, and maintaining scientific records.
• Handling confidential information and equipment responsibly.
• Complying with ISO 27001 standards and company policies on information security.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with LCMS, GCMS, NMR, FTIR, Raman Spectroscopy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of method development and validation in regulated environments.
• Desire to learn new processes and techniques.
• Preferred experience in materials characterization, untargeted identification, and working with USP products.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and operate lab equipment.
• Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to wear PPE and work in a regulated environment.
