Job Description

EAG is actively seeking a Senior Scientist to assist in chemical testing of industrial and consumer products at our Maryland Heights, Missouri laboratory. The role involves organic chemistry testing, including evaluating label claims, reverse engineering pharmaceuticals and supplements, contaminant ID, odor/flavor/color source determination, extractables and leachables testing, and medical device analysis.

Responsibilities include:

• Applying standard and non-standard techniques to determine material composition, properties, and structure.
• Performing sample preparation and recording data.
• Analyzing results, maintaining records, and preparing customer reports.
• Handling confidential information and equipment responsibly.
• Complying with ISO 27001 standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• MS in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with 1+ years.
• Experience with LCMS, GCMS, NMR, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of method development and validation.
• Experience in materials characterization and untargeted identification preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Must remain stationary for extended periods, operate lab equipment, and handle small devices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE as required.
