We are seeking aSenior Scientist, Cell Cultureto join IQVIA Laboratories inIndianapolis, IN.

As a Senior Scientist, you will independently manage and maintain cell lines, troubleshoot challenges, and develop new in-vitro assays to support high-quality screening services. You will also contribute to method development and continuous improvement initiatives in a collaborative lab environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Independently maintain and supplement cell lines to support in-vitro screening assays.
  • Perform, analyze, and report routine in-vitro screening assays using predefined methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and complex analytical methods, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and validate new cell-based methods and in-vitro screens with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of screening data to internal and external clients.
  • Conduct equipment maintenance, calibration, and operational verification.
  • Provide training and oversight to junior staff and new team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cell culturing, assay development, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in pipetting, data analysis, and laboratory documentation.
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role:

  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to implement and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
