Job summary

NorthEast BioLab in Hamden, CT, is seeking a Sr. Scientist – Cell Based Assay to lead development of cell-based bioanalytical assays. You will drive innovative R&D projects, transfer methods, and generate high-quality data while ensuring GLP-like rigor.

The role involves collaboration with a dynamic scientific team and opportunities for leadership within the lab. The candidate will design and optimize assays, manage project lifecycles, and interact with sponsors.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in cell-based assays.
• Proficiency with flow cytometry and molecular assays.
• Experience with BSL-1/BSL-2 systems and relevant assays.
• Familiarity with assay development, validation, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer design and refinement of cell-based assays with scientific rigor.
• Lead assay transfer, training, and troubleshooting within the team.
• Conduct full-cycle bioanalytical development from feasibility to validation.
• Interpret data, shape procedures, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Maintain reagent, assay, equipment, and personnel records per SOPs.
• Manage lifecycle of cell-based assay projects to meet objectives.
• Enhance sponsor engagement and contribute to proposals.
