Job summary

CRISPR Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development to lead development, qualification and technology transfer of cell-based potency assays, collaborating across programs and with external partners.

You will oversee assay lifecycle, mentor scientists, ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, and contribute to submissions while refining analytical methods for cell and gene therapy products.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering or related field with 4–8+ years of post-PhD experience.
• Or non-PhD with 12–15 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficient in mammalian cell culture and flow cytometry.
• Experience with gene therapy and assay lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization and technology transfer of cell-based assays for Drug Products and Drug Substances.
• Lead team in qualifying/maintaining cell lines for potency assays.
• Provide oversight to contract labs supporting cell-based potency tests.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory guidelines (ICH, USP, EP, JP).
