Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. in Melville, NY is seeking a Senior Scientist to join the R&D SAS team to lead analytical testing across cosmetics, skincare, and haircare.

You will develop and validate new analytical methods, troubleshoot critical formulation and manufacturing issues, and manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality data to support product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytical science.
• Travel <5%.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical testing and characterization of active ingredients, raw materials, packaging components, intermediates, and finished products.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues; develop and validate new analytical methods.
• Manage multiple projects; interpret results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality analytical data to support product safety, quality, performance, and regulatory compliance; collaborate with formulation and packaging teams.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods to enhance laboratory capabilities.
