Job summary

Vaxcyte in the SF Bay Area is seeking a Senior Scientist, Analytical Development to lead method development and analytical testing for biologics/vaccine programs. This onsite role in San Carlos CA offers an opportunity to drive strategy and scientific excellence within a collaborative team.

You will mentor junior staff, author methods and reports, and work with cross-functional partners to ensure robust analytics, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience across multiple analytical techniques (UV-Vis, HPLC, CE, SDS-PAGE, icIEF, MS).
Experience leading method development or optimization activities.
Strong data analysis, statistics and data workflow automation.
Excellent documentation and readiness for audits.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex cross-cutting assay/instrument issues.

Responsibilities

Lead development, optimization and qualification of analytical methods.
Mentor team members and provide technical guidance.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align analytical strategy.
Oversee instrumentation maintenance and qualification.
Generate and review methods, SOPs, reports.
