Job summary

Cradle is hiring a (Senior) Scientist to join the Large Libraries team and drive high-throughput screening for protein-protein interactions. You will develop novel methods to explore sequence-function landscapes and generate large-scale datasets to power Cradle AI/ML models.

You will collaborate with ML and biotech teams to improve data quality, throughput, and the reliability of design recommendations, enabling faster, better protein optimization for customers.

Qualifications

• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, synthetic biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated creativity in method development: inventions or substantial adaptations of workflows.
• Excitement to learn, contribute, and drive innovation in an early-stage startup.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize novel workflows for high-throughput protein-protein interaction library screening.
• Build and optimize in vitro or cell-based assay pipelines across multiple display and screening modalities.
• Design, build, and execute molecular biology and biochemistry frameworks for library construction, screening, and data generation at scale.
• Establish robust assays with statistical rigor for ML model training, evaluation and optimization.
• Drive and lead projects from experimental design through data delivery.
