Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Scientist in AI and Biostatistics to lead the development of AI-enabled statistical solutions for pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing. The role blends biostatistics, AI, and scientific software development to deliver validated, scalable tools.

You will work with domain experts to ensure statistical soundness, interpretability, and regulatory compliance while advancing production workflows and reproducible analyses.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc with strong quantitative training and AI exposure.
• Ability to design studies, quantify uncertainty and validate models.
• Proficiency in communicating technical trade-offs in English.

Responsibilities

• Make AI-enabled statistical models accessible via APIs and services.
• Ensure statistical integrity of AI solutions with uncertainty assessment.
• Design end-to-end AI applications integrating statistics and ML.
• Develop agentic workflows that retrieve evidence and assist experiments.
• Prepare data with provenance and quality controls for AI use.
• Collaborate with modelling and automation teams to align experiments and design.
• Deploy and operate applications with security, logging and governance.
• Create scalable architectures for production AI systems.
• Test applications and validate outputs with experts.
