Johnson & Johnson in Spring House, PA is seeking a Senior Scientist in AI and Biostatistics to join the Discovery and Manufacturing Statistics (DMS) team. The role blends biostatistics, AI, and scientific software development to create trustworthy, validated AI-enabled statistical solutions for pharmaceutical research and manufacturing.

You will work with domain experts to ensure statistical soundness, reproducibility, and governance in a regulated environment, deploying end-to-end AI

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field with relevant experience.
• Strong statistical modelling, uncertainty quantification and validation.
• Proficient in English; ability to communicate trade-offs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Make statistical, mechanistic and predictive models accessible to AI workflows.
• Ensure statistical integrity of AI-enabled solutions.
• Design and deploy AI-enabled scientific apps.
• Develop agentic workflows with evidence retrieval.
• Prepare and contextualise data for AI applications.
• Collaborate with modelling and lab automation teams.
• Deploy and operate applications with security and monitoring.
• Design end-to-end architectures for production AI apps.
• Test applications and evaluate outputs with domain experts.
• Contribute to reusable AI capabilities across DMS.
• Mentor statisticians and scientists in AI methods.
