At the heart of our efforts is the stemXcell platform, which enhances the immunomodulatory properties of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).

We are preparing for FDA-authorized clinical trials targeting acute liver failure and actively conducting preclinical and clinical studies using MSC-derived exosomes for conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and Diabetic Foot Ulcers.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Scientist – Stem Cell/Exosome with a strong background in stem cell biology and exosome research. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. (or postdoctoral training) and at least 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience, including MSC culture, exosome isolation, and in vivo mouse studies. This position offers the opportunity to lead independent projects, manage technical staff, and make impactful contributions to therapeutic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments focused on MSC-derived exosomes.
• Characterize exosomes (e.g., NTA, Western blot, miRNA profiling), and flow cytometry, electroporation, fluorescence microscopy.
• Investigate exosome mechanism of action (MOA) and efficacy in disease models including Parkinson’s Disease and Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
• Maintain high-quality records and documentation to support preclinical and clinical research.
• Stay current with scientific literature and apply innovations to ongoing projects.
• Supervise day-to-day lab operations and mentor technical staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to align research objectives with company goals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or postdoctoral degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant research experience in stem cell or exosome research.
• Strong hands-on skills in MSC culture and MSC-derived exosome isolation and analysis.
• Required: Experience in wet lab and a plus in vivo mouse models.
• Preferred: Experience in Parkinson’s Disease research, particularly involving exosome-based cell-free therapeutic approaches.
• Experience in stem cell therapy, immunotherapy, gene therapy, or cGMP cell product manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDA IND-enabling studies or regulatory documentation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage projects, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for advancing regenerative medicine and exosome-based cell free therapies.

Laboratory Management Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of lab equipment.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and reagents; manage procurement.
• Adhere to biosafety regulations in handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain lab compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
