Seeking a Scientist/Sr. Specialist - Downstream Process Development to support the development and optimization of downstream bioprocesses for biologics and therapeutic products.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on downstream process development experience, particularly with chromatography, normal flow filtration (NFF), and tangential flow filtration (TFF).
Candidates with experience supporting biologics that have progressed into clinical trials or approved drug products are highly preferred.
Plan and execute downstream process development experiments with minimal supervision.
Perform process development activities involving: Chromatography, Normal Flow Filtration (NFF), Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)
Develop, optimize, and evaluate downstream purification processes for biologic products.
Design and execute experiments independently while meeting project timelines.
Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately in laboratory notebooks and/or worksheets.
Perform data entry, analysis, statistical evaluation, and interpretation of experimental results.
Modify worksheets and experimental procedures as needed to support process development activities.
Design experiments with minimal direction and apply scientific judgment to troubleshoot process challenges.
Support process scale-up activities and development of scalable manufacturing processes.
Participate in process characterization and optimization activities.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support process development objectives.
Follow applicable GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field.
Experience with chromatography for biologics purification.
Hands-on experience with TFF (Tangential Flow Filtration).
Experience with NFF (Normal Flow Filtration).
Experience planning and executing process development experiments independently
