Job summary

Charles River is seeking a senior leader to oversee scientific and operational processes from discovery through GLP and clinical bioanalytical services in Reno. You will manage scientific staff, provide direction and mentorship, and develop strong sponsor relationships while ensuring regulatory compliance of laboratory procedures and data management.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, hiring and developing personnel, refining procedures, planning work, and presenting cost

Qualifications

• PhD or international equivalent in a science-related field.
• 10+ years in CRO/pharmaceutical research with GLP environment.
• Management experience and ability to lead staff.
• Strong verbal/written communication, organizational skills, and client relations.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight of scientific and operational processes from discovery through regulated services.
• Supervise staff, hire/train develop employees, and maintain culture to retain talent.
• Lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and provide scientific direction.
• Develop sponsor relationships and assist with cost estimates for studies.
• Review and approve SOPs, protocols, and ensure GLP regulatory compliance.
• Oversee design, conduct, interpretation, and reporting of studies.
