Job summary

System One in Morristown, NJ, seeks a Senior Custodian/Housekeeping Worker for a contract position. The role is onsite from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, at a pay rate of $20.00 hourly.

You will perform cleaning duties, fix light maintenance issues, and ensure spaces are prepared and maintained between classes. The job requires 3+ years of custodial experience and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of custodial or housekeeping experience.
• Ability to perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical condition to perform cleaning activities and lift/move equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including taking out the trash, polishing floors and bathrooms, and maintaining overall cleanliness of the school.
• Fix small issues around the school, such as changing light bulbs and setting up chairs.
• Clean between lunch periods and ensure door numbers are maintained.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and supplies effectively.
• Follow work orders from teachers for tasks like moving tables or setting up spaces.
