Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring a full-time Cook, SR at Bergen Vocational, 200 Hackensack Ave, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Schedule: 6:45 am to 2:00 pm. Online applications accepted only. Requires some experience and versatility. Fixed pay rate: $18.00 per hour.

As a Cook SR, you will assist the Food Service Director, prepare entrees, and ensure safety and quality by following HACCP and sanitation standards. This role offers growth within Chartwells K12’s extensive school dining program.

• Versatility to handle a range of duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees and items following recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain storage organization.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for safety and quality.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in maintaining daily production records and required documentation.
• Assist in cross-training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
