Job summary

The Frederick Gunn School in Washington, CT is hiring immediately for a full-time Senior Cook. This high-volume kitchen role requires prior cooking experience and a flexible schedule that may include weekends and evenings.

• Previous high-volume cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrées following established recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment after each use; performs routine cleaning.
• Stores, labels and dates food items; maintains organized storage.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for quality and safety of food supply.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
• Maintains daily production records and related documentation.
• Assists in cross-training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
