Job summary

YA's Planning and Construction Advisory Services (PCAS) seeks a Senior Scheduling Consultant to independently develop, update, and analyze construction schedules across multiple projects. You will assess field progress, review project documentation, and communicate findings to stakeholders, supporting resolution of schedule impacts and delay-related issues.

This role requires sound judgment, strong client communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of construction scheduling experience.
  • PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) certification.
  • Experience supporting NAVFAC, USACE, and CBP projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of CPM scheduling and schedule analysis methods.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools including Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, and Asta Powerproject.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%–50% (approx. one week per month to Panama City, FL, plus weekly travel to a military base outside Sacramento).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, including regular updates and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate progress and confirm schedule status.
  • Conduct forensic review of schedules and contemporaneous project documentation (including costs, productivity data, and relevant records).
  • Perform delay analysis to determine the cause, extent, and impact of delays; support resolution of delay claims.
  • Assess change impacts, extended general conditions, expediting expenses, and related schedule/cost implications; communicate conclusions clearly.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and deliverables for clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain organized job files, documentation, and project records.
  • Coordinate regularly with internal staff, contractors, and clients.

Summary

As a Senior Scheduling Consultant, you will independently develop, update, and analyze construction schedules across multiple projects. Preferred Qualifications
  • Federal construction experience (ex., military installations, border infrastructure or similar large-scale programs).
