Job summary

YA is seeking an experienced Scheduling Consultant to independently coordinate and manage construction schedules across multiple projects. You will inspect sites, analyze project documents, and update schedules while communicating findings to stakeholders and balancing financial and operational considerations.

The role requires a degree in construction management or related field, 1–4 years of scheduling experience, and proficiency with CPM techniques and scheduling software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, in construction management, engineering or equivalent field, preferred
  • 1-4 years in a construction scheduling experience
  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification, preferred
  • Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera P6, and ASTA Powerproject
  • Experience with builder’s risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors
  • Experience working on data centers / semiconductors, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process
  • Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules and contemporaneous documentation
  • Perform inspections of construction project sites and evaluate progress
  • Review and organize large amounts of project documents and data
  • Perform schedule delay analysis to establish cause and extent of delays
  • Evaluate construction productivity and progress data and costs
  • Assess impact of project changes and delays and communicate findings
  • Monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors for clients
  • Prepare technical project reports and maintain job files and deliverables
  • Interface with contractors, clients and other department staff regularly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Role & Responsibilities
  • Participate in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
  • Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs.
  • Perform inspections of construction project sites, evaluating project progress.
  • Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data.
  • Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.
  • Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
  • Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
  • Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction.
  • Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports.
  • Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
  • Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, in construction management, engineering or equivalent field, preferred
  • 1-4 years in a construction scheduling experience.
  • Holds a PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification, preferred.
