Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead project scheduling and production planning on large commercial construction projects. You will develop and maintain contractual master schedules and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors.

You will facilitate weekly planning, conduct Last Planner sessions, perform schedule analyses, identify risks, and mentor junior schedulers while partnering with PMs, Superintendents, and BIM/VDC teams.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Scheduler to lead project scheduling and production planning efforts on large commercial construction projects. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining contractual master schedules, facilitating weekly planning sessions, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, and ensuring project execution aligns with schedule objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update baseline and contractual master project schedules using Primavera P6.


• Lead weekly work planning, pull planning, and Last Planner sessions with project superintendents and field teams.


• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings and translate production updates into actionable schedule updates.


• Perform schedule analysis, identify risks and delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.


• Partner closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and VDC/BIM teams to support project execution.


• Utilize scheduling analytics tools such as SmartPM to monitor project performance.


• Mentor junior schedulers and provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related AEC field.


• 8-10+ years of construction scheduling experience.


• 2+ years of leadership experience, including managing or mentoring scheduling staff.


• Proficiency with Primavera P6.


• Experience using SmartPM


• Experience developing and managing CPM schedules for large commercial construction projects.


• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and field operations.


• Experience with Last Planner System, pull planning, and Lean Construction methodologies.


• Familiarity with TAKT Planning and flow-based scheduling techniques.


• Exposure to VDC/BIM coordination and model-based construction planning.
