Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Clarksville, AR seeks a Sr. Scheduler to lead on-site project scheduling, including Primavera P6 development and maintenance, earned value progress, and detailed EPC scheduling analyses.

Travel to project sites is required and per diem is provided for eligible assignments. The role involves coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, generating regular schedule reports, and training junior staff while ensuring safety and adherence to company

Qualifications

• 5+ years of major project scheduling experience including detailed planning of EPC work activities.
• Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office; working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management methods.
• Understanding of process systems, engineering, procurement, fabrication and scheduling.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, integrating multiple EPC schedules from the project site.
• Prepare and maintain schedule reports and progress analysis for weekly/monthly reporting.
• Assemble scheduling data from engineering, vendors, subcontractors, or others.
• Provide scheduling, resource, and progress data; create histograms summarizing work.
• Supervise updating of construction forecast to reflect current plans and requirements.
• Interface with other departments for scheduling data, changes, and cost estimates.

Description

Job Summary

The Sr. Scheduler, as a key project management team member, will perform on-site project scheduling, which requires detailed planning efforts, Primavera P6 schedule development and maintenance, the review and application of earned value progress measurement techniques and technical knowledge of an EPC schedule project execution analysis and reporting.

Travel Requirements: Must be willing and able to travel to assigned project site locations as required. Per diem will be provided for eligible travel assignments in accordance with company policy.

Essential Functions

• Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values.

• Performs tasks required to develop and maintain project schedules, including the integration of multiple logic-tied EPC schedules from project site.
• Occasional home office visits may be required.
• Ability to follow site planning issues through to completion, involving all appropriate stakeholders.
• Supports Site Management through preparation and maintenance of schedule reports and progress analysis.
• Develops detailed construction schedules with the Project and Construction Management teams.
• Assembles scheduling data from a variety of sources including engineering, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, or others.
• Manages other project interface schedulers.
• Provides scheduling, resource, and progress measurement reports in support of weekly and monthly reporting.
• Provides schedules and histograms summarizing all work.
• Supervises updating of construction forecast to reflect most current plans and requirements.
• Interfaces with other departments to provide scheduling data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates and resolution of potential work schedule problems.
• Provides supervision and on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
• Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of major project scheduling experience specifically in Primavera P6, including the detailed planning of engineering, procurement, and construction work activities.
• Must have extensive experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office applications, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of and ability to progress project work activities using Earned Value Management methods.
• Thorough understanding of the nature of process systems and engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction planning & scheduling required.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
