E-Space is seeking a career space program scheduler to define IMS standards, build the toolchain, and own the Integrated Master Schedule for Government Programs. You will establish WBS, calendars, baseline control, and align with contracts; lead MS Project templates and status cycles; mentor program managers and engineers.
This role anchors the scheduling function as the portfolio grows, ensuring cross-program dependencies and auditable performance measurement across space programs.
Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service deliveryassociated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
We are scaling a portfolio of U.S. Government programs, and are hiring the person who will own how this company plans and schedules that work.
This is not a role that inherits a scheduling function. You will define it. You will set the scheduling standard, build the toolchain and templates, establish the status and baseline control process, support Program Managers and technical leads to work within it, and then own the Integrated Master Schedule for the portfolio on an ongoing basis.
We are looking for a career space program scheduler — someone who has built and defended an IMS on satellite, payload, or ground systems development programs. You will have direct authority over scheduling methodology across Government Programs.
Define and roll out the scheduling system
Establish the company's scheduling standard for Government Programs: WBS and coding structures, calendars, activity and milestone conventions, constraint and logic rules, baseline control, and file governance.
Build the Microsoft Project template architecture, custom fields, reporting views, and health-check tooling that every program will run on.
Write and own the scheduling process documentation, including the baseline change control procedure and the recurring status cycle.
Train and drive adoption across Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Mission Systems Engineers.
Define how schedule data integrates with cost, risk, staffing, and customer reporting as those functions mature.
Own the portfolio IMS
Serve as the authoritative owner of all Microsoft Project files and the Integrated Master Schedule for every program in the Government Programs portfolio.
Build and maintain master/subproject architectures with cross-program dependencies, shared resource structures, and clean vertical and horizontal traceability.
Align schedule architecture to the contract WBS, WBS dictionary, SOW/PWS scope, and CDRL delivery obligations.
Establish performance measurement baselines and control changes to them through a documented, auditable process.
Analyze, not just maintain
Own critical path and driving path analysis, float analysis, and schedule margin strategy across programs.
Run schedule health assessments and drive findings to closure by consulting responsible leads.
Build and run what-if, recovery, and de-scope scenarios to support program and executive decision-making.
Perform schedule risk analysis and tie risk register items to schedule margin and contingency.
Identify schedule risk before the program owner does — long-lead procurement, test asset availability, integration and range access, qualification cycles, and software and ground segment dependencies.
Face the customer
Own schedule content and narrative for Government program reviews (PMRs, SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TIMs).
Prepare and deliver schedule-related contract deliverables and Government reporting.
Support capture and proposal efforts with proposal IMS/IMP structures, schedule basis of estimate, milestone and payment schedules, and schedule realism defense.
Grow the function
Build the scheduling and planning capability as the portfolio grows, including scoping and mentoring additional schedulers or planners over time.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
10+ years of program scheduling, planning, or project controls experience, with a substantial majority in the space industry — satellite, spacecraft, payload, launch, or ground segment development programs.
