Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a qualified engineer to join our government-focused SCADA team. You will design, implement, administer, and maintain electrical SCADA systems that monitor and control power across global sites for a government client.

You will lead complex projects, develop execution plans, and coordinate with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality results while ensuring contract compliance and reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years' experience in project engineering, preferably in a related industry.
• Strong technical background in electric power systems design or real-time control systems.
• Ability to obtain a Government Clearance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex projects; develop project execution plans per contract requirements.
• Communicate with project leads and customers to set deliverable timelines and workflows.
• Apply industry knowledge to solve complex design and application problems delivering high-quality customer deliverables.
• Define approaches and work plans for moderately complex projects and implement action plans.
• Evaluate specifications, blueprints, and control schematics for each project; review equipment for SCADA connectivity.
• Produce database and graphic submittals for customer review and identify variances.
