Job summary

Hancock Whitney is seeking a Loan Credit Specialist to review, renew, monitor, and decision Commercial, Private Banking, and Community Banking loan applications in a centralized environment. The role focuses on C&I and CRE loans up to the assigned authority with a judgmental underwriting approach and collaboration with Relationship Managers and the DAC.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics and at least 5 years of credit analysis experience in banking,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics is required.
• At least 5 years of credit analysis/loan review experience in banking.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on underwriting criteria and loan authority.
• Review financial statements and assess project cash flow and debt service obligations.
• Summarize final credit decisions and communicate terms to stakeholders.
• Refer loans above approval limits to Senior Loan Credit Specialist or Team Leader.
• Mentor lower level Loan Credit Specialists and support DAC as needed.
