Job summary

Space Systems Integration (SSI) is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer to provide SETA support at a DoD/IC customer in Chantilly, VA. The role covers full lifecycle oversight of satellite systems, SOW reviews, risk management, and technical liaison activities with government and contractors to ensure mission success.

Qualified candidates bring a TS/SCI with CI poly, a Master's in engineering and 10+ years of experience across space systems. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph in the last 10 years.
• Master's degree in engineering plus 10+ years of experience.
• Experience across satellite mission lifecycle from concept to post-launch.
• Space systems design, development, assembly, integration and testing for IC/DoD with PM/SE certifications.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and written/verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee acquisitions with systems engineering processes and lifecycle readiness reviews.
• Develop and review SOWs, conduct technical evaluations and source selection.
• Manage risk across the satellite lifecycle and coordinate with contractors and government.
• Serve as technical liaison between Government and contractors and align with mission objectives.
• Collaborate with domain experts to understand designs, interfaces and requirements.
• Guide COs and COTRs on contract requirements and performance metrics.
• Identify technology gaps and help build strategic roadmaps within Customer architecture.
• Prepare high-impact project status briefs for government and industry stakeholders.
• Leverage data analytics to evaluate and improve system performance.
