Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Software Developer to join the Ground Software Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on delivering real-time satellite ground software and guiding a multi-team effort within an Integrated Product Team.

Responsibilities include leading software development, mentoring engineers, and ensuring adherence to software standards while advancing new solutions for multiple projects. 100% onsite; relocation available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.
5+ years of experience developing complex software applications.
5+ years of experience with Java or C++ object-oriented programming.
1+ years of experience leading software development.
Experience in a cloud computing environment (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim prestart, final post start).

Responsibilities

Develop highly advanced satellite ground real-time software.
Act as expert and technical lead engineer for the product.
Collaborate across multiple teams within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Initiate assignments and determine technical objectives to achieve results.
Lead software development, conduct code reviews, and guide software standards and design principles.
Contribute to new concepts and products through applied research.
