Job summary

FTS International, LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer in Las Cruces, NM to support satellite and ground systems from concept through deployment and operation. Responsibilities include lifecycle analysis, readiness testing, and interfacing with government customers and contractors.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a BS in engineering, and 9+ years of relevant experience. Strong communication and leadership are essential for coordinating across teams and sites.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with polygraph required.
• BS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) in engineering discipline.
• 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in full system engineering life cycle from concept through deployment.
• Experience with project management for mission systems and/or applications.
• Ability to work independently across multiple government customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise of satellite bus and ground development lifecycle, integration, and transition to operations.
• Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing.
• Perform technical analyses; document and present findings.
• Assist Customer in application of mission resources.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Analyze concepts of operations and high-level systems architectures to develop system requirements.
• Collaborate with SETA team members, development contractors, and customer forums.
• Communicate with engineers from various contractors and government organizations; briefings to customer on technical topics.
