Job summary

GCS is seeking a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to design and bring-up advanced phased-array payload electronics for next-generation satellite broadband. The role blends ownership of hardware design with extensive hands-on lab work, taking products from schematic through validation and into manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in board-level hardware, experience with high-speed digital interfaces, and strong SI/PI skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of board-level electrical hardware design experience.
• Strong hands-on lab and hardware debugging expertise.
• Experience with high-speed digital technologies such as: PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, JESD204, SerDes interfaces.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and hardware validation.
• Full product lifecycle experience from design through manufacturing support.
• Bonus points for Satellite, aerospace, or space hardware experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop phased-array payload electronics that power satellite communications.
• Own hardware design from schematic to bring-up with hands-on lab work.
• Work with thousands of onboard components and multi-gigabit interfaces.
• Ensure hardware validation and manufacturing support throughout the product lifecycle.
