Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced Engineering and Operations Systems Engineer to support the USNDS Ground System for the US Air Force-funded NuDet Detection System. The role involves programmatic and SE interactions, producing high-quality technical writing, and providing configuration management support across teams.

You will collaborate with PMs and project leads, develop templates in Word/PowerPoint/Excel, and ensure CM for all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience (BS + 5 years; no degree +13 years).
• 2 years experience with large complex systems development, in addition to the education requirement above.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
• 3 years' domain experience working on the USNDS Program.
• Experience with ground systems.
• Experience with data acquisition and reduction workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other USNDS internal organizations involved in the USNDS Ground effort.
• Coordinate technical and programmatic activities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Coach project members in document management activities, principles, and processes.
• Facilitate deliverable document reviews and approvals and ensure final CM of documents/deliverables using established processes and procedures.
• Ensure final configuration management (CM) of documents and deliverables.
• Develop clear, concise technical reports and structured documentation.
