Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Control engineer to design algorithms, simulations, and onboard autonomy that keep a large satellite constellation precisely pointed and safely operating.

You will own production flight software from concept to orbit, work on state estimation, attitude control, and autonomous fault handling, and collaborate with avionics and test teams.

Qualifications

• PhD, or Master's degree plus 5+ years of quantitative field research.
• Experience developing guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aerospace systems.

Responsibilities

• Design the GNC algorithms, simulations, and onboard autonomy for satellite pointing and stability.
• Develop production C++ flight code and integrate it with flight hardware and software.
• Analyze fleet telemetry and validate models across 6-DOF simulations and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Operate and maintain GNC performance across the constellation from concept to orbit.
