Job summary

Athena Technology Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Satellite Engineer to support satellite and ground systems operations, management and maintenance, ensuring reliable communications for Fleet, Joint, and interagency missions.

Responsibilities include telemetry trending, performance analysis across subsystems, and generating SOH reports to guide corrective actions. A BS in engineering or physical sciences plus 5 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

BS degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
At least five years in satellite system design, ops, trend analysis and anomaly resolution.
Supervisory/leadership experience in satellite engineering.
Ability to make timely knowledge-based decisions.
Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform telemetry data trending and analysis to assess satellite SOH and trends.
Brief support crew, verify command transmission, monitor telemetry and execute contingency actions.
Analyze real-time and archived telemetry to trend subsystem performance (Power, Momentum, Propulsion, Thermal, AOC).
Provide quarterly SOH reports for each satellite subsystem and trends affecting mission requirements.
Develop and propose corrective actions to the DGR to maintain health and reduce risk.
