Job summary
Peraton seeks a deeply technical Lead Engineer to serve as the technical authority for an Operations & Maintenance program supporting SATCOM infrastructure and global mobility communications. You will own system architecture, lifecycle management, cybersecurity posture, and integration of SATCOM with enterprise IT.

Qualifications
- 12+ years in systems, network, software engineering, or integration.
- TS/SCI clearance eligibility; active clearance preferred.
- Experience with DoD SATCOM, LEO/MEO/GEO systems and global comms.
- Senior/lead engineering background in mission-critical envts.
- IAM Level III cert (CISSP/CASP+/CISM or equivalent).
Responsibilities
- Own the full engineering lifecycle across SATCOM gateway systems and BIWF.
- Ensure interoperability, redundancy, and 99.9% uptime; guide modernization to LEO/MEO.
- Lead DoD cybersecurity engineering (RMF, STIG, IAVA, POA&M) and cybersecurity posture.
- Oversee configuration management and change control (CCB) for hardware/firmware/software.
- Drive upgrades, testing, root-cause analysis, and multi-vendor lifecycle sustainment.
