Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Senior Capabilities Developer to design, develop, integrate, and deploy advanced software capabilities supporting government and defense-related communications programs. You will own the full lifecycle from concept through deployment, collaborating with systems, RF, and software teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of software development or systems integration experience.
• Experience delivering software across the full lifecycle in complex environments.
• Proficiency in programming, systems integration, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and deploy software capabilities for defense-related communications.
• Build backend data processing pipelines and analytics workflows.
• Develop applications for signal monitoring, anomaly detection, and reporting.
• Implement signal processing algorithms and data analysis workflows.
• Develop interfaces with networks, data platforms, and operations infrastructure.
• Contribute to secure communications and resiliency architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate capabilities.
• Design UIs, dashboards, and visualization tools for end users.
• Support full software development lifecycle: testing, deployment, sustainment.
• Manage CI/CD environments and version control processes.
