Qualifications

• 3+ years of SAS platform administration in regulated environments.
• Experience with SAS technologies (SAS, STAT, ETS, Viya, Grid, Macro, or Enterprise Guide).
• Experience integrating SAS with Python, R, SQL, or SPSS.
• Experience with databases including SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Netezza, or DB2.
• Experience administering RHEL and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for platforms and reporting.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead SAS Administrator for enterprise SAS platforms, including SAS 9.x, Grid, and Viya, within federal government client environments.
• Manage platform architecture, installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance across desktops, servers, grids, and BI platforms.
• Oversee all SAS security protocols, governance, and compliance according to federal regulations, ensuring PHI/PII protection.
• Deploy, scale, cluster, and troubleshoot SAS environments for ~3,500 users across on‑premises and remote access.
• Lead healthcare-focused SAS analytics initiatives, including data engineering, modeling, validation, and interpretation.
• Support patient information research using SAS tools, such as Lab analytics, SAS, STAT, SAS, and Viya.
• Integrate SAS platforms with Python, R, SQL, SPSS, and Stata for advanced analytics and ML workflows.
• Support interoperability between SAS and other government-compliant technologies.
• Develop automated reporting workflows to streamline client and healthcare decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT, researchers, and healthcare admins.
• Train client personnel on SAS tools and statistical practices.
