Job summary

Truist is seeking an experienced SAP technical leader to deliver complex SAP solutions across ECC, S/4HANA, and cloud-integrated landscapes. You will guide architecture decisions, development standards, and modernization strategies while collaborating with product owners and engineers.

The role emphasizes leading SAP development teams, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable software through best practices, testing, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of software engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
• Understanding of key business processes related to the IT function.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of customized SAP solutions and integrations.
• Develop and maintain SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP Objects, SAPScript, SmartForms, and related tools.
• Serve as technical lead for SAP development, setting standards and best practices.
• Lead analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex SAP solutions with quality testing.
• Architect and support SAP integrations with enterprise platforms using APIs, middleware, and cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership for S/4HANA development, including CDS views, Fiori, RAP, and BTP integrations.
• Build monitoring, logging, observability, and operational support for SAP applications.
• Lead security controls and regulatory compliance-related monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with architects, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to define scalable solutions.
• Lead code reviews and architectural sessions while mentoring teams.
• Oversee small teams and assist in resource planning and delivery.
• In Agile: deliver high-quality software, participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and automation testing.
