Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Senior Consultant to design, configure, test, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utility clients. You will translate billing requirements into functional designs and collaborate with stakeholders across devices, data management, FI-CA, and customer service.

The role involves applying your utility-industry expertise, leading testing activities, and ensuring successful project delivery with 40-60% travel.

Qualifications

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing and the meter-to-cash process.
• Hands-on configuration experience with SAP IS-U billing schemas, rates, facts, operands, billing master data, invoicing, and billing-cycle processes.
• Understanding of utility rates, tariffs, billing cycles, and related financial impacts.
• Experience delivering functional requirements, configuration or solution design, testing, and production support in a utility environment.
• Ability to collaborate with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing billing requirements across electric, gas, and water utilities.
• Configuring billing and invoicing solutions, including master data, rate structures, and billing schemas.
• Configuring and supporting billing cycles, rebilling, reversals, and bill simulations; handling billing exceptions.
• Validating invoicing, billing-document creation, and downstream postings with FI-CA and related systems.
• Coordinate end-to-end process impacts across multiple teams; support time-of-use and complex billing scenarios.
• Prepare functional designs, configuration docs, test scenarios, and process flows.
• Execute unit and integration testing and support UAT, regression testing, and production stabilization.
