Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Inventory and Receiving Solutions. The role drives SAP S/4 IS-Retail configuration, integration, and data integrity to support store inventory visibility and purchasing accuracy. The role blends design, implementation, and collaboration with Store Ops to ensure reliable stock information.

3-in-person days per week at Salisbury, NC and 2 remote days. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong technical foundation.
• 7–10 years of software engineering experience, senior scope.
• 3 full SAP implementations involving inventory/purchasing/receiving.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite or equivalent middleware.
• Familiarity with Store Handheld integrations and SAP S/4HANA IS-Retail.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure SAP S/4 IS-Retail for inventory, purchasing, and receiving.
• Develop integrations between store systems and SAP to ensure data flow.
• Configure purchasing processes in SAP including vendor replenishment.
• Configure DC and DSD receiving within S/4 IS-Retail.
• Troubleshoot multi-system issues to minimize stock discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Store Ops to translate requirements.
• Design and execute unit/integration/performance testing.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and runbooks.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
