Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Senior HR IT / SAP HCM Solution & Integration Architect for a global HR technology transformation. The role combines HR application architecture, integration governance and hands‑on SAP HCM expertise in a remote, freelance context.

Start is mid‑November 2026 with a 6‑month+ engagement and go‑live planned for early 2027. The position requires fluency in English and a strong ability to lead technical teams across multiple country landscapes.

Qualifications

• Extensive HR IT, SAP HCM, solution or enterprise architecture background.
• Strong SAP HCM knowledge incl. Core HR, Personnel Administration, Organizational Management.
• Experience in solution and integration architecture for global environments.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Proficient in SAP Integration Suite / CPI, APIs and middleware.
• Strong technical depth beyond functional SAP HCM consulting; stakeholder leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve global HR application and integration architecture.
• Act as technical lead and design authority for the implementation team.
• Design and review integrations between SAP HCM, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors and other systems.
• Work with SAP Integration Suite / CPI, APIs, OData, REST, SOAP and middleware technologies.
• Define architecture principles, technical standards, data flows and governance.
• Support security architecture, IAM, RBAC, and GDPR requirements.
• Assist with audits, testing, issue resolution and go-live preparation.
• Transition knowledge from current consultant and ensure ongoing ownership.

Job description

For an international enterprise environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior HR IT / SAP HCM Solution & Integration Architect to support a global HR technology transformation and transition program.

The role combines HR application architecture, integration architecture, technical governance and hands‑on SAP HCM expertise.

This is not a classic Payroll role and not a purely functional SAP HCM consulting position.

We are specifically looking for a technically strong SAP HCM Solution / Integration Architect.

Profiles focused primarily on SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors Payroll or purely functional SAP HCM consulting without architecture and integration responsibility are not suitable for this assignment.

Tasks

• Design and further develop the global HR application and integration architecture
• Act as technical lead and design authority for the implementation team
• Design and review integrations between SAP HCM, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors and other enterprise systems
• Work with SAP Integration Suite / CPI, APIs, OData, REST, SOAP and middleware technologies
• Define architecture principles, technical standards, data flows and integration governance
• Support security architecture, IAM, RBAC, segregation of duties and GDPR requirements
• Support audit findings, test cycles, technical issue resolution and go-live preparation
• Take over from the current consultant and support go-live, stabilization and ongoing technical ownership

Requirements

• Extensive experience in HR IT, SAP HCM, Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture
• Strong SAP HCM background, ideally including Core HR, Personnel Administration and Organizational Management
• Strong experience in Solution Architecture and Integration Architecture
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP SuccessFactors
• Strong integration experience with SAP Integration Suite / CPI, APIs and middleware
• Strong technical understanding beyond purely functional SAP HCM consulting
• Experience with global / multi-country landscapes, security, IAM, roles and GDPR
• Fluent English, strong stakeholder communication and experience leading technical teams
