Job summary

Accenture’s SAP practice seeks a transformation leader to own the technical architecture for custom development and extensibility in S/4HANA ABAP, ABAP Cloud, and BTP. You will define Clean Core strategy and guide global delivery teams through modern SAP development.

You will drive code reviews, architecture sign-offs, and workshops, advise senior stakeholders, and help shape pursuits and solution design. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years experience developing SAP applications using S/4HANA ABAP (NetWeaver 7.4/7.5) and ABAP Cloud.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with SAP BTP tools and services (latest Application Development and Automation stack).
• Minimum of 4 years experience with data modeling using CDS views, AMDP, OData, or related custom development.
• Minimum of 4 years SAP custom development using Fiori-first, Clean Core, and BTP side-by-side approaches, including RAP.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role (code reviews, architecture sign-offs, client workshops).
• Prior experience supporting the Chemicals & Natural Resources industry/clients
• Prior experience in a Consulting/Advisory role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience). If Associate's Degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture for SAP custom development and extensibility - define the Clean Core strategy and the 3-tier extensibility model (key-user in-app, developer extensibility / ABAP Cloud, and side-by-side on BTP), plus target-state development standards.
• Provide thought leadership on modern SAP development using ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, Fiori, Generative AI Hub, and SAP Business AI (Joule / Joule Studio).
• Lead the transition from classic ABAP to Clean Core; govern custom-code remediation, released-API adoption, and upgrade stability.
• Plan and conduct architecture and design workshops; own code reviews and architecture sign-offs across global delivery teams in client-facing roles.
• Support pursuits, estimation, and solution shaping; present to client architects and C-suite stakeholders.
