Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced SAP architect to own the technical architecture for custom development and extensibility across S/4HANA ABAP, ABAP Cloud, and BTP. You will lead modernization efforts, drive Clean Core adoption, and mentor global delivery teams while engaging client executives.

You will influence architecture choices, deliver design workshops, perform code reviews, and guide strategic solutions in a consulting context, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience developing SAP applications with S/4HANA ABAP and ABAP Cloud.
• 5+ years experience with SAP BTP tools and services.
• 4+ years data modeling with CDS views/AMDP/OData.
• 4+ years SAP custom development with Fiori-first and Clean Core.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Experience with chemicals & natural resources industries.
• Consulting/advisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Associate's degree requires 6 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture for SAP custom development and extensibility; define Clean Core strategy and 3-tier extensibility model.
• Provide thought leadership on ABAP Cloud, RAP, CAP, Fiori, Generative AI Hub.
• Lead transition from classic ABAP to Clean Core; govern custom-code remediation and upgrades.
• Plan and conduct architecture and design workshops; own code reviews and architecture sign-offs.
• Support pursuits, estimation, and solution shaping; present to client architects and C-suite stakeholders; travel 0–100% as needed.
